Earth's Core – did someone drilling at the base?
How did researchers confirm the structure of the earth. Did they really drill core of the earth and get samples of it?
It is currently impossible to drill to the Earth's core. Currently, we have not even broken the crust. Not only the temperatures and pressures at large, but it involved too deep. There are plans for attempt to break the crust to reach the mantle, but even that was difficult, because the funding or the will to fund such an enterprise is simply not there. Plans include drilling deep under the ocean, since that is where the crust is thinner. At this present time. The structure inside the Earth is considered as theory, because no one has really seen beyond the crust Land. This is why it is called the theory of plate tectonics and not the law of the tectonic plates. There is evidence that the Earth is composed of layers (crust, mantle and core). This includes, earthquake / volcanic activity, the Mid-Atlantic and the Earth's magnetosphere. Hope this helps.
